HOW CAN I JOIN PLAYGROUND LA?
We don't have a competing team but everyone is welcome to come take class at the studio! You can check out our schedule here and sign up online on our website or via our app.
Our classes are open to anyone ages 9+ except our heels classes which are for ages 16+.
WHAT IS YOUR STORE’S RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY?
DO OFFER SAG RATES?
No. We don’t offer SAG rates during this time.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO USE MY CLASS OR CLASS PACKAGE?
ALL Class packages have now been deactivated. We no longer offer class packages. If any questions, please email us.
CAN I BOOK MULTIPLE PEOPLE FOR THE SAME CLASS?
Each student needs to sign into class under their individual accounts. One Student cannot sign into class for multiple students. Each student needs their own account and own classes. We do not allow students/families to share class packages.
DO THE CLASSES HAVE A WAITLIST OPTION?
Yes! We offer both an online and an in-person waitlist. Please note that joining the waitlist does not guarantee entry into the class. Waitlisted guests should check in and wait until 15 minutes after the class start time. If there are any no-shows, we will fill those spots in order from the waitlist.
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE CLASSES?
Yes, Privates can be booked through our email Info@playgroundla.dance. Rates Start at $275/hour & up it varies depending on the instructor and how many people it is for.
DO YOU OFFER ANY SUMMER INTENSIVES OR SUMMER CAMPS?

DO WE HAVE A LOST & FOUND?
Yes, we do! Please inquire with one of our staff members if you believe you’ve lost an item at the studio and they can assist you further. To keep our studio clean, our lost and found is donated every first week of the month.
I HAVE RECEIVED A GIFT CARD FOR CLASSES HOW CAN I USE IT?
Please email us a photo of your gift card along with the email on your account and we can activate it for you. Thank you!
HOW MUCH IS A CLASS?
Our Classes after 4pm & ALL Friday & Weekend Classes are $22 and Our Week day classes Mon - Thurs before 4pm are $18
*All Classes are for ages 9+ except our Heels classes which are for ages +16

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH CLASS TO TAKE DEPENDING ON MY AGE?
Each of our classes are open to all ages 9+(with the exception of heels classes which are 16+), no class is designed either for kids or adults. Most of our classes have an age range of 15-30. Weekends we have a higher children's attendance. We also recommend searching the teacher's instagram to check out their style/what their class looks like!

DO YOU TAKE CASH? DO YOU TAKE CARD?
No, we don’t accept cash. We only accept Debit/Credit Cards (amex, mastercard & visa)
HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO TAKE CLASS?
9 Years & Up unless otherwise specified. If your child is 9-10 years old please ensure that you are placing them in the appropriate class level. Please note HEELS CLASSES ARE FOR AGES 16 AND UP.

Our heels classes are for ages 16+ years old and up.
DO YOU OFFER WORK STUDY? OR A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM?
No, we don’t.
WHAT LEVEL OF DANCE DO YOU DO?
ALL Levels available. Each class is labeled with a level.
DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS?
No, we do not. We have a two bathrooms.
DO YOU HAVE DRESSING ROOMS?
We have 2 dressing rooms in the NEXT DOOR studio
HOW CAN I SEE AND STAY UP TO DATE WITH YOUR SCHEDULE?

HOW CAN I JOIN A CLASS? WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO SIGN UP FOR CLASS?
The best way is by signing up via our website or our app. You will be directed to MINDBODY where you will be told to create and set up and account. You Must sign up in advance as we don’t allow walk ins. If you have any issues you can email info@playgroundla.dance.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN IF I CAN’T SEE A SIGN UP BUTTON?
It does mean the class is sold out. We do apologize for any inconvenience. We recommend signing up a few weeks in advance if you can to secure your spot!
IF I DON'T SIGN UP ONLINE CAN I JUST TURN UP IN THE STUDIO AND PAY AT THE DOOR?
We do accept walk-ins; however, we strongly recommend signing up online in advance to secure your spot. Walk-ins risk not being able to join the class if it is sold out. In these cases, you may be placed on the waitlist and admitted only if space becomes available. If you have any questions or issues please email us.
CAN I SHOW UP LATE FOR CLASS?
If the class is not sold out, late students may still enter after the 15-minute mark. However, if the class is sold out, we implement a 15-minute grace period—at that point, any no-show spots are given to waitlisted guests. In these cases, late arrivals after 15 minutes will lose their class credit, as capacity will have been reached.
IS THERE PARKING?
NO. Only Street and neighbourhood parking. Please be sure to read ALL street signs.
I AM A BEGINNER AND HAVEN'T DANCED BEFORE CAN I TAKE A CLASS?
Yes, We have classes labeled “BEG/BEG”.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY ON CLASSES?
Please be sure to cancel your class at least 3 hours Before your selected class starts to ensure that you get a class credit. NO REFUNDS.
WHAT STYLE OF DANCE DO YOU DO?
Primarily Hip-Hop and Heels.
MY STUDENT IS A CHILD; WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOUR TEACHERS PLAY? ARE THERE CLEAN VERSIONS OF SONGS?
Our classes are open to ages 9+. However, please note that music selections are made by each individual instructor. Most of our instructors will play clean versions of music for when there are younger students present, but this is not always guaranteed. Please check out our Sunday schedule, for classes more geared towards younger students!
